Beef Biryani


Ingredients

2 cups Basmati rice
1/2 kg Beef
3 Onions
2 Tomatoes
5 tbsp grated coconut
3 tbsp curd
3 Green chillies
2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Cloves powder
3 Elachi
1 tsp Cinnamon powder
1/2 cup Ghee
Few Cilantro (Coriander leaves)
Salt as required
2 Bay leaves
1 Lemon 

Directions
  1. Cook rice with bay leaves & salt. Drain rice in a colander when its fully cooked. Keep aside.
  2. Clean & cut the beef into cubes & keep aside
  3. Take a cooker. Saute onion  in ghee till dark brown. Then saute tomatoes for 5 min.
  4. Add green chilly, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, chilly powder, cinnamon powder, clove powder, elachi ,salt as required and saute well.
  5. Then add grated coconut & curd also.
  6. Add squared beef & 1/2 cup water or more and cook for 5 whistles
  7. Do not release the pressure. After 30 min open the cooker.
  8. Add chopped coriander leaves  & boil openly so that you obtain a very thick gravy. If the gravy is loose, your rice will be too soggy when mixed.
  9. Take a serving bowl & layer rice & beef gravy alternatively. Then mix very carefully and garnish with raisins & cilantro. You can serve with raita, papads & pickle.
